4th place prize, April 2019. This was just an experiment using Photoshop to stitch together individual left/right panoramas from 3 snaps each. I kind of liked the fractured look of the bad stitching and I guess the judge did too.

2nd place prize, May 2019. Special category "Field Trip 2019" and honorable mention, 2019 Image of the Year. This month's special competition was for images taken on our yearly field trip. This year it was a bay cruise on the Red & White fleet. Here we are approaching Alcatraz Island. I think the father is gesturing to his son that he should look at his camera rather at mine. The image on his camera was blank in my photo, so I copied an appropriate strip of this same image onto his phone. The result is actually a tiny stereogram itself with proper depth. I also reduced the contrast and a couple other things to make it look more like an actual cell phone screen.

Turning a 2D image into 3D is doubly appropriate for this image as Esher's intention was to show a dragon so unhappy at being 2-dimensional, that it cut and folded itself in its attempt to become 3-dimensional, and then bit itself in frustration.

1st place prize, September 2019. Special category "Black and White", and 3rd place 2019 Image of the Year. Was having an x-ray taken of my hand due to arthritis in the last joint of my little finger. The x-ray technician posed my hand in this interesting shape so I asked him if I could rotate it slightly and get him to take a second snap for a stereo image, and he agreed. I then got Kaiser's data services to burn me a DVD with the data. That resulted in a software program I had to run to extract the images in my desired format which I then converted into 3D. I was very lucky this worked the first time because I knew it would have been pushing my luck to ask for more than one extra snapshot. I was very pleased with the results so I posted it to a 3D photography section of reddit where it quickly became their #1 submission of all time. "Post here"
