Also 3rd place prize in March 2013. How can that be? March is always a "double" competition to make up for February when the focus is on our global contest. This year I ended up with both 3rd place prizes. This stereo pair was taken shortly after the previous pair and then zoomed in to create something more like a still-life than a landscape.

Honorable mention, April 2013. My friend Jeffrey Ventrella wearing my 3rd generation stereo enhancing goggles. So close to a hat-trick! If only it had taken 3rd place, I'd have swept all three awards. So close.

Honorable mention, June 2013. Shot "from the hip" of a sad sight in San Francisco's upscale Marina District. I like all the motion blur. And really, would you want it to be crystal clear?

4th place prize, June 2013. The special competition was titled "Self Portraits". This one involves two mirrors and requires a bit of thinking on the part of the viewer to understand what's happening. I'm standing at the bathroom sink and you can see the window sill directly in the left third. The right two thirds show the view through that mirror. In that mirror you can see out the door and across the apartment. Next to the door is the medicine chest open just enough for its mirror to see the mirror over the sink in which you see me.

2nd place prize, November 2013. The world's largest sailing race took place within walking distance of my apartment. I spent several days scouting out good 3D subjects and took this one during the final upwind leg of the final race on September 25th 2013.

2nd place prize, October 2014. Raptor sanctuary in the Marin Headlands along the edge of the cliffs over the Golden Gate. The road appears to dead-end at the bunkers at the top of this hill but this little-known picturesque one-way road snakes down from there towards the light house. This photo was shot from a little knoll partway down and looking back.
