We're excited to share with you the first step in the launch of
Beyond Rubik's Cube project. Tomorrow, July 13 at 10am ET, we will
be debuting the G+ Page for +BeyondRubiksCube
with a mysterious
teaser video.


Background

In 2014, the Rubik's Cube will turn 40 and Erno Rubik, the founder of
the Rubik Cube will launch his first official exhibition called "Beyond
the Cube" to celebrating its impact on STEAM. The exhibition will
premiere in New York at the Liberty Science Center and will then tour
Science museums around the world for 7 years. This exhibition aims to
inspire a new generation of problem solvers and creative thinkers to
pursue a career in STEAM. Google has decided the invest in this project
as the goals align closely to our passions. Creative Lab has been
working closely with the Google+ team to help craft the narrative and
develop creatives for this project.


Tomorrow

We're excited to share with you the first step in the launch of
Beyond Rubik's Cube project, ramping up until the exhibition
premiere in Spring 2014. Tomorrow, July 13 - in celebration of Erno
Rubik's birthday - we will be debuting the G+ Page for +BeyondRubiksCube
with our official
teaser video

Next Steps




The next step will be a Hangout on Air on 7/18
hosted by Paul Hoffman
at Liberty
Science Center. Participants will include Erno Rubik

Science writer Margaret Wertheim
and Oxford
mathematician Marc du Sautoy, OBE
. Later along the road:
the Geek Street Fair, a couple of Chrome Experiment and an inspirational

We've worked hand-in-hand with the G+ team and other STEM-related
projects such as Science Fair and Maker Camp making sure to
cross-promote each other. Becca Ginsberg is our PR Lead on this.
