Grab the latest
two new sets of puzzles, based on the {6,4} and {6,6} IRPs.
*The {6,4} is great!* There are not too many colors (eight), and the tiling
is less dense than some of the others, so it results in a balanced and
workable puzzle. I solved the vertex turning version tonight using the IRP
view, and it was a lot of fun :D As Melinda writes on her page for
this IRP
"can be seen as a packing of truncated octahedra". Here is a picture I
snapped
early
in my solve.
The {6,6} stretches the hyperbolic to IRP texture mapping a bit, and the
slices take on interesting parabola-looking shapes. It still works pretty
well though.
Take Care,
Roice
