Thread: "Wiki spam build-up"

Hello Folks,

There have been a bunch of wiki pages created presumably by bots meant
to improve the search rankings of linked sites. I've purged the wiki of
those pages and their images but there may be some I've missed. I also
banned the IP addresses of the creator accounts. I don't know if I've
protected the wiki properly, so if you see any nonsense pages, images,
or users, please let me know. Also, please let me know if you find that
I banned you by mistake.

You can also get to this when logged in, by clicking "Special pages" in the
toolbox at the left.

FYI, Melinda and I are going to try to get some stricter account creation
security in place this week (thanks for the offline link about that Ray!).
I'm hopeful we can curtail the wiki spam problem we've been having.
