Now there is only one stage for each dimension (from 3D to 5D), but stage d=

Couple of hints:
- pacman tries to go "deep" - in the direction Z closest to the perpendicul=
ar to screen.
- left-click pauses game. During pause you can reorient the field.
- left-drag rotates 3D space
- right-drag rotates "color" space (Z-R-G). It's difficult to use, I use it=
only when image is too flat.
- right-click switches bases between XYZ and RGZ. Strange option, but very =
useful in manipulations.=20

Very cool :D
On the higher dimensional gaming front, I thought I'd mention that Jesse
Ziser did a version of minesweeper that works in arbitrary dimension. You
can play it directly on a web browser (and on some phones) at:
http://www.gravitation3d.com/xezlec/
I think he might be a member of our group, but I know he lives in Austin
because we got together last year to geek out on this stuff :) The higher
dimensions can definitely bring some interesting effects to these grid-based
games!
I like the transparency of your pacman5d configuration files, since it seems
people could perhaps create custom levels. Myself, I'd be interested to see
levels that were a progression through dimension of a simple lattice with,
say, three n-dimensional cubes per side. Then the effects of dimension
could be studied (e.g. by changing only dimension, how would one set the
number of enemies to keep the difficulty roughly constant?)
All the best,
Roice

One thing about the configuration files is that the map of level doesn't ne=
ed to be rectangular: segments may go to any direction, and number of seeds=
in them is calculated by rounded length. They divided to 3D, 4D, 5D only f=
or user's convenience, you may add level of any dimension to any file. I'll=
describe file's structure later.

It sounds like a great idea but the program doesn't work for me. :-(
It just opens a window with some controls on the right and blank in the
middle and is completely unresponsive. I figured out that it was
unresponsive because it had created a modal error dialog saying simply
"Error in the application" but that dialog was behind the main window
which couldn't even be moved out of the way. Once I brought that dialog
to the front and clicked "OK", part of the main screen showed half of a
3D scene in the top half but nothing in the lower part. The buttons and
menu items are now clickable but no inputs seem to do anything to the 3D
portion. What I could understand from the partial view I saw makes me
think that it could be fun, but that's as much as I could experience.
