Hello everyone,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have finished counting an upper b=
ound for=A0the=20
number of permutations of an nxnxnxn Rubik's Cube, the result is here.=A0 D=
espite the=20
appearance of the formula, it was not=A0very hard to discover, thanks to Er=
ic Balandraud and=20
his page on the MagicCube4D website.=A0 Without that page, the result would=
have been
much harder to deduce.=A0 Unfortunately, the 5x5x5x5 formula listed on that=
page is
incorrect, but I believe it is just a typo, as the two errors are obvious a=
nd are in
conflict with the same principles described earlier on the page.

Now I will try to find the same formulae for the n^4 supercube (a Rubik's C=
ube in which
each cubie is uniquely identifiable in any position or orientation), super-=
supercube (a
supercube in which there is a series=A0of=A0supercubes inside of it=A0- (n-=
2)x(n-2), (n-4)x(n-4),
etc.), the n^5 cubes, and eventually the n^k cubes.=A0 Given the nature of =
the n^4 normal=20
cube, I imagine that these formulae will be extraordinarily complex.=A0 Fig=
uring these out
will be much more difficult because I will have to determine the laws of th=
e cubes myself,
rather then having them available via Eric's page.=A0 His page not only was=
very helpful
for the n^4 cube, but by verifying the cube's properties, I have a better f=
oundation for
discovering the properties of higher-dimensional cubes and the=A0"super" va=
riants.
